Dr. Sam Lynch
A Uniquely American Life
Inventor, entrepreneur, and humanitarian
Dr. Lynch has pursued a lifelong passion for bettering our lives through scientific discovery, translational medicine and individual service. His patented inventions and pioneering medical technologies have formed the basis of two biomedical companies. Working collaboratively with a team of leading scientists and surgeons around the world, he has led the development of multiple innovative medicines to improve healing of bone injuries and defects. The products he has developed have now been used to treat injuries in millions of patients.
Dr. Lynch has two doctorates, including one from Harvard Medical School, over 250 publications and patents, numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and numerous other awards and honors. His clinical and scientific focus is in the field of regenerative medicine.
His proudest accomplishments, however, lie not in his professional achievements but in his many philanthropic activities, medical missions to Central America and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education initiatives. He is a proud founding supporter and adviser of STEM Preparatory Academy. An amazingly successful school located in one of the poorest and most racially diverse inner city areas of Nashville, TN, STEM Prep now serves over 800 students speaking over 20 native languages and is considered by many as the most successful charter school in the state of Tennessee and the Southeastern US.
He has also advised on science, healthcare and regulatory policy at the State and Federal levels and is a member of several boards, including the governing board of Vanderbilt University Medical Center which provides world-class health care to those in need.
SAM KNOWS HOW TO EMPOWER OTHERS, AND LIKES TO EMPOWER OTHERS. BUT HE NEVER ABDICATES HIS OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUTCOMES.

Dr. Sam Lynch: Journey to Leadership
Dr. Lynch was raised in extreme rural poverty in southeastern Illinois. While poor in material terms, Dr. Lynch was rich in blessings, with a supportive family who taught him traditional values such as hard work, self-reliance, striving to do your very best in everything you do, treating others fairly and the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you (Matthew 7:12). Through the living out of these values and God’s blessings, he has traversed the American Dream from a country school with about 18 “country kids” in his 8th grade class to international prominence as a scientist, health care professional, highly successful entrepreneur and humanitarian.
His greatest treasures are his family, his faith and his reputation for honesty, integrity and discernment, as vouched for by individuals as varied as Tennessee Supreme Court Justices, leading clergy, educators, former FDA leadership, business and political leaders.
Having experienced poverty, and the ability of hard work and a good education to lift up oneself, he believes strongly in equal opportunity for all, from the farmers and tradesmen to doctors and lawyers to entrepreneurs and business leaders regardless of socio-economic class, race, ethnicity or gender. Dr. Lynch currently resides with his wonderful wife and three children in the Nashville, TN area.
